As you surf the web on your browser and view videos, these videos are added to the Windows temp folder or the browser’s cache folder. The Video Cache Viewer application provides easy access to these cached videos. The program finds cached browsers and allows you to play cached videos or save them locally.

Video Cache Viewer works with Windows and all popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and more). To get the application up and running, you have to download an executable (close to 5MB in size, meaning that downloading it won’t take long), run it, and then follow the onscreen instructions presented by a setup wizard. The entire process will take little time and little effort on your part.

On the left side of the application’s interface, the Windows Temp Folder and your browsers are listed. Select Firefox and the video cached by that browser will be displayed as thumbnails in the large pane to the right. Double click a thumbnail and the application will use its built-in media player to play that video. Right click a thumbnail and you will be presented with a context menu that, among other things, allows you to save the cached video.

Using Video Cache Viewer is as simple as launching an application, selecting a browser, and then selecting a cached browser. From the application’s straightforward interface you can view the videos cached by your browser, you can play them within Video Cache Viewer, and you can save them to your local disk.

Video Cache Viewer is free to try for 10 days.
